Recycling is a billion dollar industry. That is important to note as the Regional council has just raised the price of extra garbage tags to double what it was. So my question is, why does a billion dollar industry need the tax payers to buckle up and foot the bill for more garbage removal and force more recycling habits on regional residents? I have written about this many times before and the message still isn’t getting through. Recycling is a scam! It is not a movement like so many believes, but an billion dollar industry.

Is council becoming, NORMAL?
The only issue with Leaded Fuel is quite simply, finding it. Mr. Trench can post and author articles on his own websites or blogs about it all, but when it comes to the truth, he appears to be full of gas himself.
Read my lips… there is no leaded gas in Nascar.
End of story.

This week on February 23rd 2012, Amendments to the pit bull ban will get it’s second reading at Queens Park. Chances are real good that this will go to a 3 rd reading and dog lovers and pit bull owners alike will have reason to be optimistic.

The Editors post on the STRAND ...........
" The Editor said...
Presidents Day, according to the Urban Dictionary is:
A holiday that has no real reason other than being an excuse for furniture and automotive dealers to have huge sales, and make Americans that don't know anything about their government feel stupid.
And Canada has followed suit with "Family Day" which might be described as: we may as well have a holiday on the same day; Canadians will book off work to take advantage of the sales in the US on Presidents Day anyways.

Leaded fuel is a non issue concerning the Canadian Motor Speedway. To attempt to turn it into one is a huge waste of everyone's time and money. It’s grasping at straws at best since this particular track is designed to accommodate NASCAR and the goal is to one day bring in a NASCAR sanctioned event. NASCAR doesn’t use leaded fuel, PERIOD! In fact, if Mr. Trench who wrote this week’s letter in the Times accusing Mrs. North of not doing her home work, actually did he is, he would see that the leaded fuel exemptions in Canada expired on January 1st, 2010. So where have you been Mr.
Clowncilor Collard’s time is running out. I hope he savors Tuesday’s meeting and then his final meeting on the 27th. Get the last feelings of how it is to sit in the big boys seat and then to be disgraced as you are removed from your seat on Council for violating the simple rules that you chose not to follow, the rules you have lied about and the actions for which you got caught and further, have not acted in the best interest of the Town of Fort Erie.

Pride
Is that what we NOT want for OUR community.
Nay, that is what every community minded citizen strives for in THEIR community, whether it be Thunder Bay, Smith Falls or Brockville. Why should it be different in Fort Erie ?
The answer is simple ..... geographics.
Fort Erie has the misfortune of being geographically located to a demographics which suggests that they "own" us, not unlike the Slavery and the Civil War that fought to protect the "ownership" of another human being.

NASCAR Mr. Bill Trench not just any racing. ( A Point of Racing Type.)
In reference to 2 separate letters in the Fort Erie Times.
Mr. Trench is hung up on leaded fuel but this is a NASCAR style track designed for NASCAR style racing. Lelsey North rebutted his letter but pointing out that NASCAR hasn't used Leaded fuel since 2008.

Today I had a good chuckle over a message I received from a wannabe, well wannbe noticed, person who happened to get an article written on Bullet Media. It was hilarious because his blog was eerily similar to some of the stuff I have written and this bozo decides to give me some advice about how Red Bull Delivers and how it would have a much larger audience.

Warning! Sharons little secret exposed.
Fort Erie resident Joyce Lea should be commended on her brilliant presentation to Council. She touched on every aspect, she stated how they had done everything they were asked and even more. Pointed out how the fund raising for the Lighthouse raised $200 dollars only and was voted least important on a survey. They stated how they provided petitions and studies paid for by find raising and for what? To be ignored. The only thing I faulted in Lea’s speech was her ending remark about not answering any question because she will have to appear again and ask for money.
Rumblings around the beach are turning to trembles of fear. The outcome of the Lawsuit is beginning to set in. Fears or a real loss and penalties to the tune of over $400,000.00 are quickly becoming realized. Estimates are hovering around $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 conservatively at each Plaintiff.
Are you for real? You want to give yourself a pat on the back and play it up for the cameras for passing a budget? Look at the photo. This is what your budget has done for you and even worse. What it will do to the Town’s children who no longer have a pool to use. Instead our fab four suggest to rent a bus a day or two to bus kids to the beach or some other magical land. Why not to the private pools of those with their own agendas? Take them to their homes and use their pools.

It comes down to Intent?
There has been much talk about the compliance audit findings going around and who will get what if anything at all. I have heard speculation from a slap on the wrist to removal from council. Some of the funniest remarks are from people who somehow feel that the severity of the reports is somehow related to the number of pages of the report. One person who made that comment actually ran in the last election.

The most hilarious part of these audits is the the Illegal donation that was made by A Mr. Smith, a part time US Resident who is refusing to cash Noyes check that she has to return because he is not a CAN citizen. You gotta love these crazy people who insist they are legal when the authorities are telling them they are not.
Mr. Smith, you could have saved yourself allot of trouble if you had just funneled your money to Noyes through the FEWPA like most other Americans did. But then they were only allowed so much weren't they.

It’s not their fault! But it will be.
I think there is some misunderstanding with some of our posts whether here or on Facebook. When it comes to town council we have always been very critical, but no matter who thinks what, we have been more than justified as both the town review has clearly stated and pointed fingers at this current town council and how they relate to town staff and their own inefficiencies when it comes to making decisions for this town. Then look at the forensic audits and enough is enough.

Did Donnie Lubberts lie yet again?
In the audit report it states that this was Councilors Lubberts first time running for council. However, this is another falsehood from his report since he ran in 2003. We are now up to 15 infractions just on his audit. When looking at these it is clear that Donnie lied about who did his financials, lied about this being the first time he ran, did not disclose that he took a total of 3 illegal US donations and this was just a couple of things found in his audit. What else has he lied about?
Compliance Audit Reports

Are Bye Bye Elections on their way?
If all things go well, they should be. After reading over the audits reports, the FEWPA, (Fort Erie Water Front Preservation Association) has sure made a mess of things. It’s like children who have been caught doing bad things and thinking they are clever by lawyering their way out of it.

Did you go with them yesterday? Did you ride a big bus with them yesterday Pauly? Did you you talk the big talk, (because we know you cant walk the big walk).
But are you going to win Liittle Pauly?
Most think not, but you have BIGGER desires, dont you Pauly.
Reports have it that John Keenan is owed a whack of money, some say it is to the tune of over $250,000.00. One person was quoted as saying “that is a lot of pasta”. The amount owed is just to date. How much more if it actually goes to Court?

The town made the right call on the Bill Board issue.
I will leave the names and details up to the news paper to print. For my blog they are irrevelevant. Basically a local property owner wanted an amendment made to a current by law to allow him and a billboard company to place a billboard on his property near the peace bridge. In a surprising 5-2 vote town council denied this approval and after hearing the details, I have to agree with their decision even though some local charities may have lost out.
